چکیده

Exploration of copper ore in the Nepal Himalayas has been carried out by different researchers at times. The author conducted detailed geological studies and mineral exploration some polymetallic prospects also reviewed literature related to Nepal. present research is able delineate two distinct mineralization belts extending from west east identify promising sites for that could be feasible mining. northern belt lies close Main Central Thrust where occurs mostly metamorphic rocks garnet amphibolite facies Darchula,Bajhang, Gorkha, Dolakha, Solukhumbu Ilam districts. southern Lesser Himalaya low-grade greenschist Dadeldhura, Rukum, Baglung, Myagdi, Tanahun, Dhadhing, Makwanpur, Udaypur, Bhojpur Most these were locally exploited on a small scale traditional mining before 1951. Almost all both hydrothermal dissemination, irregular multiple vein type, replacement cavity fillings only few mineralizations exo-contact zone granite bodies. minerals concentrated during processes regional metamorphism time Himalayan upheaval. In general, content appears higher grade tonnage as compared belt. frequent association tungsten, molybdenum, bismuth, nickel, tin, lead, zinc ores traces gold suggests urgent need further evaluation selected which economic deposits

Geology, ore mineralization and geochemistry of Sorkheh sedimentary copper occurrence, northwest of Marand, NW Iran

The sedimentary copper mineralization of the Sorkheh area is located about 20 km northwest of Marand, East-Azarbaidjan Province, northwest Iran. The most important lithologic units in this area include sandstones and red-color shales, with the Late Miocene age, that are intruded by lamprophyric dike. The copper mineralization in the study area occurred as stratiform laminations and disseminatio...

Type of mineralization and studies of fluid inclusions of the Bolboli2 copper ore deposit, northeast of Sirjan, SE Iran

The Bolboli2 copper ore deposit is located about 110 km southwest of Kerman and lies in the Dehaj-Sarduieh metallogenic belt (Kerman Cenozoic Mamatic Arc, KCMA). This ore deposit is hosted by the Eocene extrusive igneous rocks (tuff, agglomerate, andesite, and dacite) and the Oligo-Miocene intrusive igneous body (granodiorite). These rocks are host the propylitic, phyllic, and silicic alteratio...

Seasonal modulation of seismicity in the Himalaya of Nepal

[1] For the period 1995–2000, the Nepal seismic network recorded 37 ± 8% fewer earthquakes in the summer than in the winter; for local magnitudes ML > 2 to ML > 4 the percentage increases from 31% to 63% respectively. We show the probability of observing this by chance is less than 1%. We find that most surface loading phenomena are either too small, or have the wrong polarity to enhance winter...
